Possible Values All versions of DOCSIS prior to 3.1 specify that 64-level or 256-level QAM (64-QAM or 256-QAM) be used for modulation of downstream data, using the ITU-T J.83-Annex B standard[14] for 6 MHz channel operation, and the DVB-C modulation standard for 8 MHz (EuroDOCSIS) operation.
DOCSIS 3.1 adds 16-QAM, 128-QAM, 512-QAM, 1024-QAM, 2048-QAM and 4096-QAM, with optional support of 8192-QAM/16384-QAM.

DOCSIS DownStream Power

Description The received power level. This value is expressed in dBmV.
Possible Values
  • -7 dBmV to +7 dBmV are "Recommended" values.
  • -8 dBmV to -10 dBmV / +8 dBmV to +10 dBmV are "Acceptable" values but out of spec for most providers.
  • -11 dBmV to -15 dBmV / +11 dBmV to +15 dBmV are "Maximum" values but out of spec for most providers.
  • Lower than -15 dBmV & Higher than +15 dBmV are out of DOCSIS 3.0 specifications. Gateway / modem likely will not work at all or be extremely problematic.

DOCSIS DownStream SNR

Description Signal/Noise ratio as perceived for the downstream channel.
Possible Values Expressed in tenth db
Example 30

DOCSIS DownStream Uncorrectables

Possible Values Integer

DOCSIS Duration

Description The DHCP lease duration for the cable modem IP address.
Possible Values Integer. The duration is expressed in minutes.

NOTE: This field is uniquely associated with SmartRG SR804 & SR808 gateway models.

Description The DHCP lease expiration for the cable modem IP address.
Possible Values Day of week, Month, Date, Year time formatted as: Day Mon Date YYYY HH:MM:SS.
Example Thu Jul 22nd 2020 04:10:02

NOTE: This field is uniquely associated with SmartRG SR804 & SR808 gateway models.

DOCSIS IP Address

Description The address of the cable modem, itself and thus what is used to communicate with the configuration server (via SNMP, TFTP, etc).. Not to be confused with the gateway IP address (also referred to as the WAN address).
Possible Values Returns a single IP address. Could be IPv4 or IPv6 format depending on the provider network environment.
