Reboot or Factory Default a CPE device

In the course of troubleshooting a subscriber's CPE device, remotely rebooting the device or even resetting it to factory defaults can be performed via Device Manager.

Reboot Device

To remotely reboot the device, perform the following steps:

  1. Search for the subscriber in question and display the account record.
  2. In the left navigation bar, expand the Device Management section
  3. Select Reboot Device.
  4. In the center pane to the right, check the Reboot device now check box.
  5. Select Save in the upper right.

 

Factory Default Device

To remotely reset the CPE device to factory defaults, perform the following steps:

  1. Search for the subscriber in question and display the account record.
  2. In the left navigation bar, expand the Expert section
  3. Select Factory Default Device.
  4. In the center pane to the right, check the Factory reset device now check box.
  5. Select Save in the upper right.
